Oldham County Equine Council

The Oldham County Equine Council represents a partnership between the University of Kentucky Cooperative Extension Service for Oldham County, Oldham Ahead, and other equine individuals and organizations within Oldham County, Kentucky.  The council is being established in January 2007 and the organization will be structured based upon input from its initial board and the council's members.

The Council is a non-profit organization comprised of volunteers and is open to free membership to all interested persons regardless of race, color, age, sex, religion, disability or national origin.

The mission of the Oldham County Equine Council is to build a county-wide, broad-based education and professional forum to increase awareness of the equine industry within Oldham County; to promote jobs and economic opportunities for equine operations and related support businesses; and to work with the Commonwealth of Kentucky to maximize Oldham County support for state-wide equine initiatives and industry best practices.

Goals of the Oldham County Equine Council include, and are not limited to:

 

Membership:  Council is open to all individuals, companies, and organizations with an interest in the Oldham County equine industry.
